MISSION STATEMENT:
Dedicated to working with developing communities to share new technology in medicine and clean water solutions.

SUSTAINABLE OUTREACH SOLUTIONS is a Scottsdale, Arizona based, IRS approved 501(c)3 Not-For-Profit organization composed of a group of physicians, engineers, nurses, technicians, translators, and support staff. Our current core includes over 150 medical and engineering volunteer personnel. We have come together to share our skill and talent by providing services to individuals in underprivileged areas of the world. In addition to patient care, we spend time with local physicians and nurses sharing our knowledge of modern procedures in health and medicine. We have visited the countries of Haiti, Honduras, Nicaragua, Ecuador, and El Salvador in Central America, Ghana and Tanzania in Africa and India. Our services are based on the specific needs of each of the communities that we visit.

MEDICAL BRIGADES:
Past services have included internal medicine, gynecologic and pediatric clinics; endoscopic procedures and the surgical specialties of orthopedics, gynecology, pediatrics, general and plastics/reconstructive surgery (i.e. cleft lip and palate, facial reconstruction, congenital abnormality correction.) Past teams have consisted of anywhere from 12 to 36 volunteers. Each individual is responsible for their own airfare. We depend on donations of equipment and supplies from various vendors and organizations both, locally and nationally. Monetary contributions are used to purchase equipment, supplies and medications that we are unable to obtain through donation. As a group, we look forward to continuing to provide our services to those areas of the world where resources and access to medical treatment are limited.

ENGINEERING BRIGADES:
Starting in May, 2008, we expanded our services to include engineering services. We traveled to Ghana, in association with Engineers without Borders and Northern Arizona University, to construct medical clinics and drill water wells in Yua, a small village in Northeast Ghana, near Bolgatanga. We also provide disaster recovery efforts in Haiti after the earthquake drilling water wells, installing water purification systems, and installing solar power systems. We have also provide water engineering efforts in Ghana, Haiti, Honduras, Nicaragua and India. We also sponsored engineering needs assessments to Tanzania with Northern Arizona University to develop future projects.
