Solar for Kandahar University
Today SOS along with Esperança and Rotary International delivered over a half million dollars worth of donated solar panels to the war torn city of Kandahar, Afghanistan for use at the university. The panels will be delivered by the US Air Force.
Mission Statement
SOS is a not-for-profit organization comprised of medical and engineering professionals who provide assistance in developing countries, while furthering the education of those who serve.
To carry out this mission SOS must:
1. Choose a team of qualified surgeons, anesthesiologists, engineers, and support staff.
2. Teach new and existing technologies to the communities so they can continue on their own.
3. Practice our core values as we would in our own country.
Annual Shoe Drive for Alamos Mexico
SOS, in conjunction with our new partner SSCA (Scottsdale Sister Cities Association), is participating in their annual shoe drive for the children of Alamos, Sonora, Mexico. All sizes of youth shoes are welcome. New or gently used. Can you help? Our goal is to collect 200 pairs by 12/1/16! Who We Are
SUSTAINABLE OUTREACH SOLUTIONS is a Scottsdale, Arizona based, IRS approved 501(c)3 Non-Profit organization composed of a group of physicians, engineers, nurses, technicians, translators, and support staff. Our current core includes over 150 medical and engineering volunteer personnel. We have come together to share our skill and talent by providing services to individuals in underprivileged areas of the world. In addition to patient care, we spend time with local physicians and nurses sharing our knowledge of modern procedures in health and medicine. We have visited the countries of Haiti, Honduras, Nicaragua, Ecuador, and El Salvador in Central America, Ghana and Tanzania in Africa and India. Our services are based on the specific needs of each of the communities that we visit.
