Planning Alamos Medical Brigade

Representing SOS with the Mayor of Alamos, Sonora, Mexico and the hospital staff planning our next medical brigade!

SOS Locally!

SOS impacts our local community today by donating $2000 of care packages to families in need! With Esperança.

WE MADE IT!

WE MADE IT! We were able to raise $1000 which makes us eligible to receive a matching grant from the Gates Foundation!!! And guess what ?? We received another matching $1000 surprise grant from a member of our SOS family. We are now 1/3 of the way towards funding our next medical brigade in April. Thank you to all of our amazing contributors!!!!

We’ll Miss You Kenny

SOS is deeply saddened by the sudden loss of our co-founder, Ken Bailie.

Ken began SOS medical brigades in 2009 while taking a multi specialty surgical team to Central America.  He had a vision of helping people who had medical problems but would never be able to afford surgery.  He developed relationships all over Central America with doctors, medical staff, and local NGO’s in hopes of providing long term commitments.

In addition to this, Ken and another member of SOS traveled to Ghana, Africa to build a medical clinic.  Many people are unaware of this effort and our favorite photos are posted HERE.

Ken has a group of over 150 team members who have widely respected him and followed him over the years, and adored his amazing character and passion.  He is truly one of a kind and can never be replaced and will never be forgotten.

Ken was 100% dedicated to a successful medical brigade to take place in Alamos, Sonora, Mexico for April 2017 .  The plans for this trip will continue and it  will be dedicated to his memory and legacy.  We welcome your comments on our SOS Facebook page.

Sincerely,

Team SOS
